Lovely sunny walk around Gilkicker yesterday.
I am genuinely sad to see Gosport Queen go although obviously pleased she’s getting a new life on the Thames, she was always my favorite and I would love it when she stepped in for one of the newer ferries from time to time. I have travelled on her most of my life, we are almost the same age, and I love the quirky design and of course all the wood. Below a little tribute to Gosport Queen with some pictures I’ve taken recently.
Not today obviously, it’s far too foggy!
Had a lovely relaxing Sunday afternoon walking along Hill Head beach from Meon Shore – I grew up here but haven’t been back for a couple of years. Amazing how a beach changes so much!
I took my camera into Portsmouth today and had a couple of relaxed wanders, firstly around the city centre and later around the coast and Old Portsmouth. I forgot how relaxing I found this kind of photography – I had a fun day!
I think we’ve all had that thought! We rush through life, with never enough time to get it all done. How I have wished to be given that time over the last few years.
Well now I have…. it’s still a very odd feeling – but this morning I got up when I woke up (7am) instead of when the alarm went off (5.55am) and have spent the morning sorting through the household paperwork that has built up over the last six months or so. It feels good.
I spent an hour before lunch walking along the coast – the picture above is of Portsmouth Harbour, it was incredibly peaceful.
Just how I am feeling right now!
